Our 5* Environmental Health Inspection at Holyrood Astley, Prestwich and Swinton shows our dedication to ensuring food is prepared and handled hygienically. We are very proud of this award which also shows the condition of our equipment and premises are controlled, monitored and documented to ensure our hygiene practices are at the highest standard.

Our 5* Hygiene award shows are dedication to hygiene practices, structure, cleanliness and management controls that are in place to ensure our food is produced safely here at Holyrood Castleton, Prestwich, Swinton, Astley and Hope.
Barnardo’s Big Toddle – 2014
In 2014 our nurseries participated in the Barnardo’s Big Toddle with a fantastic Space theme sponsored walk and proudly raised £4,230 for our efforts. The Barnardo’s Big Toddle is the UK’s biggest charity event for children aged 0 – 5. All the money raised by children taking part in Barnardo’s Big Toddle goes directly to Barnardo’s work with vulnerable under 5s in the UK.
Baby Welcoming Environment – 2012
Achieving this Award recognises that our Holyrood Haydock nursery provides a welcoming environment for breastfeeding mums. Our commitment to promote, protect and support parents to feed their babies when out and about locally has gained us this award.
Kite Mark Quality Assurance
The Kitemark is one of the most recognised quality and safety symbols in the world and offers true value to both consumers and businesses that adopt the practices needed to gain certification. Holyrood Shaw are thrilled to have received the Kitemark Quality Assurance award.
Green Rag Rating
We are very proud to have received our Green Rag Rating in recognition of the standards our nursery at Holyrood Princes Dock has achieved. The Liverpool RAG (Red, Amber, Green) Rating system allows Early Years settings, together with the Local Authority to make an assessment of quality.
